Project Runway 9-24-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers took on the challenge of using old technology as their materials for the week.

Hey guys! First of all, just wanted to say thank you to Blogging Project Runway for adding me to their roster of recap bloggers. I started my blog to help fans catch up on episodes of Runway that they missed. Obviously, I have expanded it into other aspects of fashion. However, I am so happy to be a part of a blog who is totally dedicated to all things Project Runway. Now, onto this weeks episode.

Challenge: The designers got to design whatever they wanted using Finding Neverland on Broadway as their inspiration (Fun fact Peter Pan is played by Melanie Moore who won So You Think You Can Dance season 8).

Thoughts in the Workroom: Ashely's fabric is STUNNING!!! I hope Laurie creates a slip or something under that shirt... (but the shirt design is cute).  I'm very intrigued by what Edmond is doing. Kelly's green and black fabric is also really beautiful in a haunting way (which completely embodies the spirit of this challenge in my opinion).

Guest Judge: Coco Rocha

Ashley: Ashley picked a beautiful white and purple ombre fabric. The fabric was just absolutely stunning and could have been breath taking on the runway. I really loved her idea, however, it did not turn out exactly as she intended. The top was too small for the model in the back and too large in the chest area. This is just one of those situations when things just did not turn out as intended.

Candice: Candice totally took this challenge to heart and it showed.  She made a black leather corset top with a "jacket" and a well constructed black pant. The shirt and the "jacket" were connected. The pants and the top were SO well made. Her whole outfit fit the model like a glove. The "jacket" was made out of a black fabric with red detailing and she used a black and white strip underneath as lining. She explained that the dress was inspired by a line about embracing your dark side. The white in the dress represents the light at the end of the tunnel. The "jacket" was off the shoulder and cinched at the waist. It was so flattering, and stunning, and I just can't say enough good things. Absolutely one of the strongest looks tonight.

Swapnil: This look was pretty good. He made a sculptured top out of a grey checkered material. The material reminded me of business casual. The bottom was a light pink long skirt that looked amazing on the runway! The bottom of this look walked very well. Personally, I would have liked the top to have been a tad shorter. Overall, this is most certainly one of the best looks this week. Swapnil is such a talented designer and his creativity really showed this week.

Edmond: Edmond created a black two piece cigarette pant and crop top. The top had strapping and the whole outfit was perfectly tailored and the fit was amazing. The outfit was hot. However, over the top he put a flouncy eccentric purple vest over the top. I feel like created the vest because the underneath did not really scream Neverland. But, the outfit underneath was very well made.

Lindsey: Lindsey picked a green fabric and made a circular top and a circular, high low bottom. The color was pretty, but the outfit looked safe. I feel like she let the fact that she has been in the bottom get to her a bit. Keep your hopes up girl! You know what your doing.

Laurie: Pasties...?

Kelly: Kelly really pushed herself this week. I loved that she took her immunity as an opportunity to challenge herself and make something out of her comfort zone instead of taking it as a week to sit back. Her green vest was stunning. The fabric was beautiful! Nina was right on target with this look, very editorial. She made a black mini dress underneath to give the look a modern twist and made matching black gloves. She really put her all into this look and you could tell. Her model looked high class and her dress was sophisticated and expensive looking. I think that this look really captured the challenge.

Merline: She made a black gown out of a mesh fabric with some detailing. The top featured strapping and sleeve with a tight fit and a dramatic shoulder. I really liked this look. I thought that it was very fairytale despite it being all black. Something about the fabric just fit right in with Neverland. The dress was very well fitting as were the sleeves.

That is everything for this week! Comment below and let me know what your favorite look was this week!

  1. I loved Merline's and thought Laurie's was one of the worst things to ever walk the runway on PR.

Project Runway 10-15-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers gave members of the Project Runway crew a makeover. Hey guys! Welcome to this week's Project Runway Recap Review! We are getting closer and closer to fashion week each episode and the competition is getting tight. At this point, any of the designers could go home. Last week was packed with drama...but...its a new week, and a fresh slate, so lets get started. Challenge: The five remaining designers will make an outfit inspired by the New York City bridges (Queensborough, Brooklyn, Manhattan). The designers were assigned a bridge from the black bag of doom. Each designer created a textile with a 3-D printer that they had to incorporate into their garment. This is an Avant Garde challenge. Thoughts In The Workroom:  I'm not so sure what I think about 3-D printers...comment down below and let me know what you think about them (in general, not just in fashion). Candice made a good choice not using black again this week. Designers who

The Prom Problem: Underwear (Clean)

Previously on the Prom Problem:  I talked about Bra's for Prom. All the special types that may be the best option for your dress. This Week: I thought that it would only be natural to talk about Underwear next. Underwear lines plague everyone at some point but prom is the last place that you want them to show up.Today we will be solving those nasty underwear lines.  I know that everyone has different opinions about sharing underwear secrets online because it is private I guess for some people, but honestly, I think that it is okay as long as your not doing anything inappropriate. I am just saying this to let you guys know that this post is totally clean so if your thinking "oh my gosh what is she going to show us?" Don't worry about it...you can keep reading. On that note, lets take a look at a few solutions to The Underwear Problem. Solution 1: Thongs I am going to talk about thongs first because I think that they are the most common solution for panty lines.

Special Post- Inner Beauty- The NJ Sharing Network

Hey guys! I have always intended for this blog to be totally dedicated to beauty and fashion, however, this post is going to be a bit different. Well, I mean, it does kind of fit because all the beauty on the outside does not matter if you are not a beautiful person on the inside (which I am sure that all of you are). Recently, my little sister (Linda) had a kidney transplant. She received her new kidney from an organization called the NJ Sharing Network. The NJ Sharing Network is an organization which connects donor families with recipients. I wanted to help give back to the organization that gave my little sister so much...so I created a team for their annual 5K run. My team is called Linda's Home Team. Last year, my team raised around $3000 dollars for the NJ Sharing Network. This year, we are hoping to surpass that. It would mean the world to me if you guys would follow the link below to my page and give a donation to my team. Every penny counts. I love all of my readers so m
