Project Runway Season 12 Review 8-29-13!!!!

Hey guys!!! I know I have been a bit inconsistent this season but life is kinda crazy right now for me. Anyway, I wanted to get up this week's review so I am not backed up by next week! This week's episode was interesting because it was not very mind boggling so it allowed the designers to really create and be themselves. They are down to the top ten and the competition is tightning. I really cant call anyone the weak link at this point! As always, this post will not contain any spoilers and may or may not correspond with the judges opinions. Challenge: Make a garment that highlights the shoes that you picked. Alexander: Okay I liked this look. I know that there was two looks with plaid but I really liked this one. Plaid can go a bit nerdy but I think Alexander made it look trendy! I loved the fit of the pants! I also think that the shirt complemented It very well. Alexander's shirt was a white sleeveless that had some structural detailing on the front. The two pieces l

August Favorites 2013

Hey guys! Summer is over :,( I literally can't explain how bad I already have senioritus lol. But at the same time I am very ready for the end of camp. It's just been one of those summers that was not as good as the last. But you can only move forward so on we go. 1.) My first one is kinda of a random one but lately I have been very into eating healthy. I did a very bad job of eating well in July so I felt like I needed to make up for it in August. One of my favorite snacks lately has been cheese. Why? I really don't know. I just have not been craving sweets as much lately. Which is good I guess. It's good to get a head start on eating well before school starts. 2.) My next favorite is bold necklaces. I bought one for back to school and I have not worn it yet but I am soooo obsessed with it!! Basically it is a gold chain statement piece with black and gold triangles. It came with matching earrings so I plan on wearing it with a black shirt, jeans and combat boots. I

Back To School Fashion 2013: Leather Is The New Black

Previously on Back To School Fashion2013: I talked about hot pants as a trend for the upcoming season. Coming up: I will be talking leather. Hey guys!!!! So today I am going to dive into one of my favorite trends for fall 2013....leather! Look in any magazine and you will find tons of models sporting it! Leather is one of my favorite fabrics because it can be just about anything you want it to be. Usually, leather is associated with a more edgy style (which I love) but it can also fit nicely into a more girly style as well. This season, black brown and red leather are all making themselves known. I think that red leather is an interesting thing. For the right outfit, it could look outstanding...but it also could be a major clashing point. For the upcoming season, a leather jacket should be a staple piece in every girl or boys wardrobe. And girlies...a leather skirt would be a perfect bottom for a date night! If you want to add a little leather to your daily wardrobe, try a shirt wit

Back To School Fashion 2013: Hot Pants

Previously on Back To School Fashion 2013:  I just introduced the series. Hey Guys! Today we call it mint green...in the 80's they called it sea foam. And I do not know what they call these today but in the 80's they were called Hot Pants so that is what I am going with today. What are hot pants?? They are shorts that are often made of winter material and worn with stockings in the winter. Lately I have been seeing Hot Pants in several magazines as well in the stores. I have the above pair and they are honestly so comfortable!! I think that they look great and that they are a great way to spice up a fall outfit. They are also a good transition between summer and fall because they put together the best of both worlds. The great thing about hot pants is that you can dress them up or dress them down depending on the material and embellishments on the shorts. They can also be purchased at a wide range of prices which is helpful .Whether you want designer originals or ones from F

Random Post: Song I Wrote

Hey guys!!! This is another one of those posts that I don't usually put on this blog but doing things for enjoyment makes us happy...and happiness is beauty so I decided to share with you the lyrics to this song I wrote. Hope you like it! Nightmare Tonight The summer stars spell out your name. I'm reminded of you through every Stupid game. I shut the door and close my eyes I Wish you were here to hold me tight. To tell me everything's alright. This distance is my nightmare tonight.  Nightmare tonight. I draft a text Practice a call. When it comes to send  That's where I fall. I wish I could know Just what's in your head. The summer stars spell out your name. I'm reminded of you through every Stupid game. I shut the door and close my eyes I Wish you were here to hold me tight. To tell me everything's alright. This distance is my nightmare tonight.  Nightmare tonight. Should I say that I miss you? Or

Staying In Style At Camp

Hey Guys! So I know that I have been mentioning my camp job a lot and I just decided to make a whole post about it here and like the fashion aspect of camp. Let me just start out by saying that I know all camps are different and some make you wear a uniform and some do not. Obviously, if you do not have to wear a camp shirt every day...there is more room to be stylish. Personally, my camp has us in a blue shirt every single day except on fridays when we wear white. The color of my shirt is kinda weird to accesorize with so I generally just stick to a head band or a green or white bow. I think that adding a hair accesory is a great way to express your style at camp. When you work  at camp...you want to have things that are replaceable. You  can always get a new hair ribbon or new hair band for a very low price. Therefore, no biggie if it gets lost. It also is a convient way to be cute and get your hair out of your face (and when you are out in the hot sun all day...you want you hair o

New Series: Back To School Fashion 2013!!

Hey Guys!!! So as much as I hate to say that the back to school season is coming....it is. Honestly, I kinda have mixed feelings on the upcoming school year. I mean I do not want to go back mainly because I really want to go to college but I still have one year of high school left lol. But on the other hand senior year is sopost to be really fun and I am kinda excited for all of the priviladges that come with being a senior. Anyway that is not the point of this post. Today I am going start off a brand new series about the fashions for the upcoming season as well as some back to school tips!! Fall fahsion is many people's favorite because the colder weather allows for more clothing and therefore, more fashion. Everyone wants to go back to school in style and have that perfect back to school outfit. Hopefully, through this series, you will get a good picture of what you are going to see in the hall ways or around campus so that you can get an idea for your first day outfit (or if you

July Favorites 2013!!

Hey Guys! I know I am a little late with this one too but I wanted to do it anyway. After all, better late then never!! I seriously can not believe that July is over. Like I am in total denial that I am going back to school in a month. But it is August now so without further a do, here are all the things that I have been loving for July. 1.) My first favorite of the month is Maybelline's color tattoos. As I have mentioned before, I work at a day camp so wearing makeup is feudal unless it is watter proof. These eye shadows are perfect because they do exactly what they are branded to do. I can go swimming with this on and come out of the pool with my shadow looking like I never got wet. Its actually amazing!! The colors I have been using are Inked in Pink which is a shimery light pink color and Audacious Asphalt which is a dark gray color. I am pretty sure that I have talked about this product in depth before so I am going to be moving on to my next favorite; however, I just wanted

Project Runway Season 12 Review 8-8-13

Hey Guys!! First off I just want to say sorry for the lack of posts and not getting up last weeks review. I originally thought that I would be able to get up more posts in the summer but my job has just been crazier than usual and I let things slip a bit here but I missed it so much and I am going to try my best to blog every other day for the rest of the month. Now, onto our Project Runway discussion. As usual, this post will not contain any spoilers in case you have not seen the show yet. To that effect, you can head on over to lifetime's website and catch up if you did not get to see this weeks episode (and you should because it was a good one!) Also, the opinions on this blog are my own and may or may not correspond with the judges opinions. With all that said....lets get started! Challenge: This week the designers had to incorporate bow ties into their garments. Alexander: This outfit was middle of the pack for me. Alexander made a black jump suite with the bow ties flatte
