Curly Hair Care: Daily Friz Prevention Products

Previously on Curly Hair Care: I talked about shampoo and conditioner. Hey guys!! I just want to say that I am not being sponsored by Garnier but I really do think that that products are the best for curly hair and I would recommend sticking to the brand. Every girl with curly hair understands the problem of wanting to comb your bed head, but if you do you make a frizzy mess...but if you don't you have knots. The Garnier Mousse and Curl Constructing Spray Gel are the solutions to this problem. Both the Garnier Mousse and the Curl Constructing Gel work best with wet hair. There are two options to achieve this without having to shower twice. If you like to shower in the morning, obviously, your hair will be saturated and ready to work with. This is the easiest. However, if you are like me and don't want to wake up super early in the morning for school, you shower at night which presents a problem in the am. What I do, is I purchase a flat square brush, and wet it several times

How To Sew: Picking the Right Fabric

Previously on How To Sew: I talked about purchasing a dress form. Hey guys!! So today I am going to talk about fabric choice. Fabric choice can make or break an outfit. Obviously some fabrics are easier to work with than others. Today, I am going to talk about which fabrics that I think are great for a beginner and a few that I would wait to use until you get a bit of experience. Fabrics for Beginners: Fabrics that are hardy are the best to work with. Often, when you go to cut fabric, the fabric shrinks a bit from what you intended while your are cutting. This is because the cut removes some of the tension holding the fabric together. This occurs less in fabrics such as denim, leather, wool, polyester etc. The less stretchy the fabric, the better it is for a beginner.  It is easier to get started on these types of fabrics because you do not have to worry about figuring out how much bigger than actual size you have to cut something to allow for the shrink while you cut. In addition

Curly Hair Care: The Best and Worst Shampoo for Curly Hair

Previously on Curly Hair Care: The series was introduced! Hey Guys!! Everyone's hair care starts with a little shampoo and conditioner. Whether you shower at night or in the morning, shampoo and conditioner are always the first products to hit your hair before styling. For girls with curly hair, the right shampoo can really make a difference in frizz control. Today I am going to talk about some shampoos and conditioners that I have found to be perfect for taming the wild beast. Recommended Shampoo: Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo for Curly, Dry and Unmanageable Hair. This shampoo comes in  a green bottle and the product is like a light green transparent color. The bottle sizes range from the normal to the huge ones with the pump. This product is my holy grail shampoo for curly hair. Personally, I had tried many shampoos that were designed to tame frizz but this is the only one that I noticed made even the slightest bit of difference. Reality is, the right shampoo alone is
