Fall Fashion Trends 2014- Back To School Fashion

Hey guys! This is going to be the official end of my back to school series as I am off to college tomorrow. I know that this summer's back to school series has been a bit less fashion focused than this blog usually is but its all good. And! Today, I am going to run through a bunch of different trends for this fall that you can deff use when planning your first day outfit. Not goina lie, I was planning on this post being a first day outfit ideas post but all of my fall cloths are in my trunk so I couldn't really take the pictures. (Needless to say this disclaimer but I do not own or took any of the pictures used in this post). SO, I decided to just go with the trends of the season and hopefully, this post will inspire your fashion picks for the season. Boyfriend Jeans and Wide Leg Jeans Lets be honest, the skinny jean came into style about 10 years ago and it really hasn't gone away. However, it has finally started to be phased out. I don't know about you guys but per

High School Advise for Incoming Seniors

Senior year was my favorite year of High School and I mean that. I really did not have the best overall experience in High School but I did have a pretty great Senior year. Senior year is about having fun. Yeah you are still in school, but it is totally different. College Apps are a fact of life and you have to do them. Personally, I think that this is the time where you really need to take a good look in the mirror and narrow your choices. You probably do not see yourself at all 20 of the schools you are thinking of applying to. Really think about who you are and where you think you will fit into best. Start with big school vs small school and you already have cut the task in half. Personally, I only applied to 3 schools and two of them were my safety. If you only have a small amount of schools to apply to, you can really put your mind to the Apps and do a through job. By the time you are on essay 15 you really do not give a crap anymore and its harder to write the essays. I'm no

Project Runway Season 13 Episode 4 Recap Review

Hey guys! So not much to say in this intro except Bethany Motta guest judged!! Was so excited to see her. Personally, I am such a fan of her channel and I was happy to hear her opinions on the show. Regular disclaimers and all that. Lets get into it. Challenge: To make a high fashion outfit out of a men's suite. The suite the designers got was picked by last weeks winner. Top 3: Kini: Kini created a black dress with  a pin stripe detail. He made cap sleeve constructed shoulders. It had a plunge neck line trimmed with pin stripe. His skirt was full and every other was pin stripe. It had little cut outs in the bodice and he left the pockets on. I honestly loved this one and I thought that it was one of the most runway ready outfits. The challenge was to be High Fashion and this was certainly High Fashion. I think that he is a talented designer and we might just see him go to the finals. Amanda: She made a patchy dress with the two materials inside out and she added fringe incr

High School Advise for Incoming Juniors

I'm not goina lie, Junior year was the hardest year of school ever. I honestly think it was harder than college is going to be. I do not want to scare you, but I'm going to be honest. So lets just get started. Honors, AP, IB, SAT, numbers numbers numbers you just can not escape them. They are everywhere and you have to not let them crush you, because they can. Like I said in my last post, you are not your numbers. YOU ARE NOT YOUR NUMBERS. Junior year, people tend to fixate on them. I can remember one night crying to my mom in her room because I was going to get a "B" in a class that I was running an "A" in all year because I flunked the mid term. Lets be real, I got the "B" and still got into my first choice college. Did I over react? Yep. Should you avoid getting yourself that worked up about your grades? Yep. Honestly, work hard and do your best. Your grades are going to be a direct reflection on how much time you put into them. What ever your

High School Advise for Incoming Sophomores

Being a sophomore in High School is a great place to be. You are no longer the youngest person in the school, but you are not on your way out yet. You are in the prime of High School, but you do not have all the work of Junior Year. Sophomore year is a good year if you make it one. As it was happening, Sophomore year was okish because I had one best friend that I spent all of my time with. However, Sophomore year for me was more of an identity crisis than anything else. Ever had a best friend break up? Well that happened too. Sophomore year, you are comfortable in your school. The next step, is becoming comfortable in your skin. Everyone changes a lot sophomore year. Why? Because you no longer feel the need to cling to anything that grounded you in Middle School as you are now comfortable in your High School, ready to climb the authority latter and become who you are actually going to be. Sophomore year is when you start to think about college. Not too seriously, but seriously enoug

High School Advise For Incoming Freshman

Hey guys! So as promised, there is a second part to my Middle School Advise series...and that is of course, High School Advise. I am going to go year by year and talk about my experience as well as give advise. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask! So, lets get started! Freshman year is a confusing year. I can't say that I loved it, but it was not the worst year of my education. That is junior year...but lets talk about freshman first shall we? Going into freshman year, your still a middle schooler. You may think your ready to be independent, drive and have a boyfriend/girlfriend, but you are not. Freshman year is all about growing up. I know that is cliche and you may not believe me now, but when you are looking back on High School, you will realize how young you really were going into freshman year. I went into ninth grade with a group of friends that had begun to fall apart in eighth. In addition, I was like the queen of theatre and the school shows and there wa

Middle School Advise: How To Be Popular (The Good Kind of Popular)

Hey Guys! So, today I am going to be wrapping up the Middle School part of my school advise series for this summer. I decided to save this topic for last because honestly, it dominates a good part of your social life and the choices you make in Middle School. Being Popular. Everyone wants to be poplar and that is okay. Why do we want to be popular? Because we want to feel accepted. No one ever likes being left out and that is completely and totally normal. However, there is the good kind of popular and the bad kind of popular. I want to talk about both because they are both important and it is essential to know the difference. So, lets get into it. The Bad Popular Okay, so Im going to be honest and tell you that most of the people you think are popular in Middle School are the bad kind of popular. This does not necessarily mean that they are all going to turn out to be bad people. However, there is a high chance that these are the people who will take a turn for the worst in High Sc

Project Runway Season 13 Episode 2 Recap Review

Hey guys! Not much to say in this intro except the usual Im not sponsored and all that jazz. Also, I am once again covering the top and bottom three because of the large number of designers still in the competition. So, lets get into it! Challenge: This weeks fashion was inspired by the movies. It was an  unconventional challenge where the designers were required to use a variety of movie supplies (lighting things, tickets, popcorn etc) to create their looks. In addition, this challenge was a team challenge so they had to create three cohesive looks per pair of three. Winning Team: Amanda's Team The first look had a rope top and a duct tape green skirt with lettering overlay. The second look was everything in the kitchen sink. Amanda used roping, tape, cords and all kinds of nuts and bolts to create an overlay that moved fabulously on the runway. The third look was a more body con more constructed dress with the lettering and the green duct tape. This dress featured a plunge n
