Project Runway Season 13 Episode 2 Recap Review

Hey guys! Not much to say in this intro except the usual Im not sponsored and all that jazz. Also, I am once again covering the top and bottom three because of the large number of designers still in the competition. So, lets get into it!

Challenge: This weeks fashion was inspired by the movies. It was an  unconventional challenge where the designers were required to use a variety of movie supplies (lighting things, tickets, popcorn etc) to create their looks. In addition, this challenge was a team challenge so they had to create three cohesive looks per pair of three.

Winning Team: Amanda's Team
The first look had a rope top and a duct tape green skirt with lettering overlay. The second look was everything in the kitchen sink. Amanda used roping, tape, cords and all kinds of nuts and bolts to create an overlay that moved fabulously on the runway. The third look was a more body con more constructed dress with the lettering and the green duct tape. This dress featured a plunge neckline. What was very interesting about this collection was that with the exception of the tape, it was essentially made out of shredded stuff but it all stayed together and did not look crafty. I might have picked a different collection to win as I really loved the CD dress, but I certainly think that this team did a great job and deserved the win.

Loosing Team:
This team used colorful film to create three unfortunate looks. Last weeks winner made a crop top sorta and a skirt but it looked like it was a mistake and should have been one piece. Hernian made a longer dress with a constructed top that went up to the neck with black cup boobs sorta. This dress is so hard to describe because it was such a mess of bustier skirt belch. Honestly, I thought that this guy was SO rude, and forget about his fashion, I do not want to watch him talk for another week. Carrie's dress had a constructed top with a sweet heart neck line. The bodice was body con with a black belting look to it. Honestly, this was the one I minded the least out of the three. Personally, I think that Sandhya is a really good designer and she just let herself get walked on by the other two over dominating personalities. She should have stuck to her original idea, after all, she was the reigning winner and she has a strong original perspective and I really hope this does not shake her. I felt like Sandhya had trouble with the pressure of the show and I really hope she gets acclimated to it and can shine for the rest of the season. She is not the typical Project Runway style, but I really like that about her.

And that is it for this round up recap. Check back soon for episode 3 recap review and get excited, because Bethany Motta will be guest judging on episode 4!!
xoxo

Project Runway 10-15-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers gave members of the Project Runway crew a makeover. Hey guys! Welcome to this week's Project Runway Recap Review! We are getting closer and closer to fashion week each episode and the competition is getting tight. At this point, any of the designers could go home. Last week was packed with drama...but...its a new week, and a fresh slate, so lets get started. Challenge: The five remaining designers will make an outfit inspired by the New York City bridges (Queensborough, Brooklyn, Manhattan). The designers were assigned a bridge from the black bag of doom. Each designer created a textile with a 3-D printer that they had to incorporate into their garment. This is an Avant Garde challenge. Thoughts In The Workroom:  I'm not so sure what I think about 3-D printers...comment down below and let me know what you think about them (in general, not just in fashion). Candice made a good choice not using black again this week. Designers wh...

The Prom Problem: Underwear (Clean)

Previously on the Prom Problem:  I talked about Bra's for Prom. All the special types that may be the best option for your dress. This Week: I thought that it would only be natural to talk about Underwear next. Underwear lines plague everyone at some point but prom is the last place that you want them to show up.Today we will be solving those nasty underwear lines.  I know that everyone has different opinions about sharing underwear secrets online because it is private I guess for some people, but honestly, I think that it is okay as long as your not doing anything inappropriate. I am just saying this to let you guys know that this post is totally clean so if your thinking "oh my gosh what is she going to show us?" Don't worry about it...you can keep reading. On that note, lets take a look at a few solutions to The Underwear Problem. Solution 1: Thongs I am going to talk about thongs first because I think that they are the most common solution for panty lines. ...

Special Post- Inner Beauty- The NJ Sharing Network

Hey guys! I have always intended for this blog to be totally dedicated to beauty and fashion, however, this post is going to be a bit different. Well, I mean, it does kind of fit because all the beauty on the outside does not matter if you are not a beautiful person on the inside (which I am sure that all of you are). Recently, my little sister (Linda) had a kidney transplant. She received her new kidney from an organization called the NJ Sharing Network. The NJ Sharing Network is an organization which connects donor families with recipients. I wanted to help give back to the organization that gave my little sister so much...so I created a team for their annual 5K run. My team is called Linda's Home Team. Last year, my team raised around $3000 dollars for the NJ Sharing Network. This year, we are hoping to surpass that. It would mean the world to me if you guys would follow the link below to my page and give a donation to my team. Every penny counts. I love all of my re...
