Back To School Fashion 2013: Hot Pants

Previously on Back To School Fashion 2013:  I just introduced the series.

Hey Guys! Today we call it mint green...in the 80's they called it sea foam. And I do not know what they call these today but in the 80's they were called Hot Pants so that is what I am going with today. What are hot pants?? They are shorts that are often made of winter material and worn with stockings in the winter. Lately I have been seeing Hot Pants in several magazines as well in the stores. I have the above pair and they are honestly so comfortable!! I think that they look great and that they are a great way to spice up a fall outfit. They are also a good transition between summer and fall because they put together the best of both worlds. The great thing about hot pants is that you can dress them up or dress them down depending on the material and embellishments on the shorts. They can also be purchased at a wide range of prices which is helpful .Whether you want designer originals or ones from Forever 21, hot pants are easily accessible. In addition, there is always the DIY option. I mean you don't even have to sew the shorts from scratch if you are not sewing savy. You can just but a pair of shorts from any clothing store and using fabric glue, add embellishments and fabric patches to create you very own hot pants and them just pair them with matching tights.

Coming Up on Back To School Fashion 2013: I will be talking all about leather!

Is The Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment Worth the Hype?

Hey Fashionista's! Today we are going to talk all about Hailey Bieber's Rhode Skincare line. This is not sponsored, I just really wanted to talk about these products. This semester in my public speaking class, I taught a unit all about persuasive speaking. My goal was to make the topic of persuasive speaking more relatable by showing how prevalent it is in our modern world. What was the product I brought in to show the power of persuasive speaking in the "influencer era"? You bet it was the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment. If you are a longtime reader, you know I rarely talk about skin care. Actually, I have probably never talked about skin care. That's because I don't really know what to say. I don't ever buy the trendy products because I am allergic to so many of them and if not, they make me break out. BUT Hailey Bieber got me- talk about effective persuasive speaking. I watched a few videos on YouTube of her using the products and talking about their ing...

June Favorites!!

Hey guys!! Another fabulous month has passed and what a month it has been! June was very stressful for me but also the biggest relif because it was the end of school and training for the day camp that I worked at. So I have a good amount of favorites for the month of June so I am going to go on and get into it. 1.) My  first favorite of the month is my Maybeleen concealer stick. I decided to stray from my Almay holy grail concealer and try out a more full coverage concealer because I was not getting a whole lot of sleep due to school so I had lovely dark circles. I have been using this product every day and kind of have a love hate relationship with it but decided to include it. Lets start with the pros. I love that it makes my undereyes glow and wakes me up a bit. I also love the coverage that it gives. NO dark circles will be seen when you use this product. I also really like the texture because it is really creamy and easy to apply. Now for the cons. I am pretty tan and so I b...
