Project Runway Season 13 Primer Recap Review

Hey Guys!! Welcome back to the Project Runway Recap Review Series!! This first episode is a sort of audition as three designers will be cut before the first official challenge. In addition, the runway redemption designer will be announced and thrown into the mix. Because  there are so many designers to start out, I am just going to review the top 3 and bottom 3. As per usual, these are my opinions and may contradict what they judges thought...but don't worry, I will also inform you about what the judges did actually thing. Lets get started!

*The three designers to come short of the first challenge were Tim, Nzinga, and Emanual.*
*The winer of the runway redemption contest was Amanda Valentine from Season 11.*

The Challenge: Make one spring look in one day out of the materials provided to you in a mystery black trunk.

Top 3
Amanda: I loved Amanda's look! She made a racer back black top that had two triangles at the bottom. The shirt showed a little sliver of skin which was elegant but sexy. Her pants were two toned, almost a bit biker inspired and very interestingly crafted. I really loved how well these were made and how she stepped up her game from last season. I remembered her being a little loose around the edges but this time, she was deff solid. Nice way to come back Amanda.

Sharkina: Sharkina made a yellow crop top that had big flowy, three quarter sleeves and  a multi colored circle skirt. Personally, I thought that this outfit was well made and looked great on the runway. However, this outfit can be found in any popular teen store. I wish she had pushed it a bit more. But, I do think that she is a talented designer.

Sandhya: This look I loved and hated at the same time. She dip died a floral pattern orange ombre and I loved that. The fringe on the bottom was a great touch and I liked the basic silhouette. However, I was not fond of the wings. I think she would have done a much better job without them.

Bottom 3
Angela: She made another first episode disaster. Her gray pants had too slits on the side, but forget about that, they were HUGE on the middle and you could pretty much see the model's but crack. That is not acceptable for the runway in my opinion. Her top was also poorly constructed and did not fit the model very well. I call this look overbought and over stressed.

Jefferson: Jefferson's look was pretty bad. Heidi hit the nail on the head. He made a blue high waisted short. However, this short did not cover the model's butt. In addition, his black and white crop top was too short and looked a bit home made. Not to mention, the top did not really cover the boob area and that is not up to standard for the show.

Mitchell: Mitchell made a romper with a black and white patterned short with the same pattern on the sleeves. His shirt was a yellow fabric. I thought that this look was young and a cool idea. However, his execution was poor. I have to say that I do agree with him that it would make a good collection because you could do a lot off of this look.

That is all for today! If you missed the episode and want to see who won and who went out, head on over to lifetime and take a watch! I certainly think that this episode started off the season with a bang. There are deff some great designers this season, and I can not wait to see what they come up with.
xoxo

Project Runway 10-15-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers gave members of the Project Runway crew a makeover. Hey guys! Welcome to this week's Project Runway Recap Review! We are getting closer and closer to fashion week each episode and the competition is getting tight. At this point, any of the designers could go home. Last week was packed with drama...but...its a new week, and a fresh slate, so lets get started. Challenge: The five remaining designers will make an outfit inspired by the New York City bridges (Queensborough, Brooklyn, Manhattan). The designers were assigned a bridge from the black bag of doom. Each designer created a textile with a 3-D printer that they had to incorporate into their garment. This is an Avant Garde challenge. Thoughts In The Workroom:  I'm not so sure what I think about 3-D printers...comment down below and let me know what you think about them (in general, not just in fashion). Candice made a good choice not using black again this week. Designers wh...

The Prom Problem: Underwear (Clean)

Previously on the Prom Problem:  I talked about Bra's for Prom. All the special types that may be the best option for your dress. This Week: I thought that it would only be natural to talk about Underwear next. Underwear lines plague everyone at some point but prom is the last place that you want them to show up.Today we will be solving those nasty underwear lines.  I know that everyone has different opinions about sharing underwear secrets online because it is private I guess for some people, but honestly, I think that it is okay as long as your not doing anything inappropriate. I am just saying this to let you guys know that this post is totally clean so if your thinking "oh my gosh what is she going to show us?" Don't worry about it...you can keep reading. On that note, lets take a look at a few solutions to The Underwear Problem. Solution 1: Thongs I am going to talk about thongs first because I think that they are the most common solution for panty lines. ...

Special Post- Inner Beauty- The NJ Sharing Network

Hey guys! I have always intended for this blog to be totally dedicated to beauty and fashion, however, this post is going to be a bit different. Well, I mean, it does kind of fit because all the beauty on the outside does not matter if you are not a beautiful person on the inside (which I am sure that all of you are). Recently, my little sister (Linda) had a kidney transplant. She received her new kidney from an organization called the NJ Sharing Network. The NJ Sharing Network is an organization which connects donor families with recipients. I wanted to help give back to the organization that gave my little sister so much...so I created a team for their annual 5K run. My team is called Linda's Home Team. Last year, my team raised around $3000 dollars for the NJ Sharing Network. This year, we are hoping to surpass that. It would mean the world to me if you guys would follow the link below to my page and give a donation to my team. Every penny counts. I love all of my re...
