Curly Hair Care: Moisturizing Frizzy and Dry Hair

Previously on Curly Hair Care: I went through my favorite everyday products for maintaining nice looking curly.

Hey guys! Heat damaged hair, and curly hair girls love to straighten their hair. In addition, with the summer time coming up and chlorine, it's hard to maintain the right amount of moisture in your hair. I find that the hair products that I use are great for frizz control, but nothing can control frizzy hair when it's dried out. Today I am going to talk about two moisturizing hair products that I absolutely love and that fix my dry hair problems completely. Again, I just want to say that I am not sponsored by Garnier I just really love their products.

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Moroccan Oil Treatment
What this one little bottle can do is seriously a medical. This product is an oil treatment and you can use it in a few different ways. The first way is to apply a pea sized amount to your hair while it is wet in the shower. Leave it in for a few mins and then wash it out. This method is similar to doing a hot oil treatment but requires no pre-preparation.  During the winter months, I typically do this about once a month or after I have used heat on my hair for a few convective days. During the summer, I use it about once every two weeks or after using heat or swimming. Using it in this fashion is kind of like doing a hair mask and it just puts a lot of the moisture back into your hair and leaves it feeling silky smooth and soft. The best part about this product is that it does not leave your hair greasy unless you use way too much. Another way to use this product is to apply it to the ends of your hair or massage it into your scalp after you have taken a shower and towel dried your hair. This way, the product drys with your hair and gives it a bit of a glow in addition to moisturizing it. Personally, I prefer to use it in the shower because I have another product which I am going to talk about in. A second that I enjoy applying for moisture to my damp hair.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrient Nutrient Spray
This product is similar to the one above. However, it is not for in the shower. I like to apply this product to my damp hair. This item contains basically the same oils as the one above and does and it really does an incredible job of moisturizing limp hair. To apply this product, give it a good shake and spritz it throughout your hair. The product sprays like perfume and it smells pretty decent as well. The bottle is not to big so Use sparingly if you want it to last a long time. Spraying too much of this into your hair will make it greasy so be careful. I purchased both this product and the shower oil above from target but you can find them in any drugstore that carries Garinier.

Okay that is it for today. Check back soon as I will be getting into styling curly hair very soon!
Xoxo

Is The Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment Worth the Hype?

Hey Fashionista's! Today we are going to talk all about Hailey Bieber's Rhode Skincare line. This is not sponsored, I just really wanted to talk about these products. This semester in my public speaking class, I taught a unit all about persuasive speaking. My goal was to make the topic of persuasive speaking more relatable by showing how prevalent it is in our modern world. What was the product I brought in to show the power of persuasive speaking in the "influencer era"? You bet it was the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment. If you are a longtime reader, you know I rarely talk about skin care. Actually, I have probably never talked about skin care. That's because I don't really know what to say. I don't ever buy the trendy products because I am allergic to so many of them and if not, they make me break out. BUT Hailey Bieber got me- talk about effective persuasive speaking. I watched a few videos on YouTube of her using the products and talking about their ing...

Project Runway 10-15-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers gave members of the Project Runway crew a makeover. Hey guys! Welcome to this week's Project Runway Recap Review! We are getting closer and closer to fashion week each episode and the competition is getting tight. At this point, any of the designers could go home. Last week was packed with drama...but...its a new week, and a fresh slate, so lets get started. Challenge: The five remaining designers will make an outfit inspired by the New York City bridges (Queensborough, Brooklyn, Manhattan). The designers were assigned a bridge from the black bag of doom. Each designer created a textile with a 3-D printer that they had to incorporate into their garment. This is an Avant Garde challenge. Thoughts In The Workroom:  I'm not so sure what I think about 3-D printers...comment down below and let me know what you think about them (in general, not just in fashion). Candice made a good choice not using black again this week. Designers wh...

Project Runway 10-1-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers created a look inspired by Neverland on Broadway. Hey guys! I hope you are having a good week! I do not have much to say for today's intro, so lets just jump right into the post. Challenge: The designers had to design an outfit that matches one of Just Fab's customer styles.  Candice won last week, so she had first pick and got to assign the other designers which style they had to design. The different styles were Trendsetter, Bombshell, Girl Next Door, Modern Classic and Femme Nouveau. The winner of this challenge has their design produced and sold by Just Fab. Thoughts In The Workroom: I'm interested to see what Edmond does what that black and red fabric. Kelly's choice of fabric is awesome! She has really brought her "A" game these past few challenges. Swapnil needs to watch an episode of KUWTK. Ashley's jacket is very cute. I think Candice did a good job assigning the styles to the designers. Laurie! Fo...
