Project Runway Season 13 Episode 8 Recap Review

Hey guys! This week's runway was absolutely amazing and I am about to get to why. I truly believe that all of the designers this season are supremely talented and some of the best yet. This week is the last week that someone will have immunity. As always, this is not sponsored in any way and is based on my opinion and those of the judges.

Challenge: This challenge was Aven Gard with a twist, the outfit's had to be waterproof.

*Side not, Heidi's red outfit at the runway show was absolutely stunning!*

Amanda: Amanda started out with this stunning sad Cleopatra idea. I think that this was a great starting idea for her because the imagery of what she was even thinking was just beautiful. Although this idea was beautiful, the dress was not. The eyeballs were made of some kind of sticky and pealed off on the runway. This is not one of her best work's.

Sean: Started out with an all white innocent looking dress. His idea was to add die underneath so that when the design got wet, it would transform into color on the runway. This is most certainly the most brilliant design to every be created on the show. It was a huge risk for him to take, but if you don't take risks, you never know how amazing the outcome can be. Luck for Sean, this dress panned out to be everything and more. The yellow and red looked stunning as they melded into each other. The color got darker as the mode stood on the runway and the whole experience was just breath taking. This outfit should most certainly go down in Project Runway history as the best outfits on the show. Personally, I think that if this idea had been executed in the final, he would have won. I am sure Sean will make it to the final after this innovation, he is just such a talented and creative individual and he absolutely deserves it.

Fade: Fade began suffering from the worst possible thing on Project Runway, lack of inspiration. This  problem lead to a very literal take on the technology inspiration. Complete with a play button on the boob. This week is a make it work week for Fade. On the runway, this dress just looked like a plane rain jacket. I would say he is in trouble. At this point in the competition a rain jacket with a literal twist is just not going to cut it.

Char: Char's dress was a plumpish jumper with a turtle neck. In addition, she had a black and purple scale looking serpent thing on her shoulder. This outfit looked very polished and very clean. Was it the best on the runway? No. However, it was decent.

Alexander: Alexander made a clear dress with purple florals on top. Underneath was a black jumper. Personally, I agree with his comment that the look looked like glass. Bravo to him, this was deff a job well done.

Sandhva: Sandhva was inspired by the bars and tone screen that use to show up when a TV station had no programing on. Personally, I loved this throwback idea. I have yet to see a designer use this as their inspiration on the show and I thought that it was very unique in a good way. Unfortunately, this great inspiration did not get praised by Tim and it just came off looking a bit like a costume. She needed to make it work going onto the runway or she could be going home. Going into day two, she was shown making a pinwheel jacket. Personally, I think if she just went with is without the jump suite, she might have something here (provided that the pin wheels spin). I would say the outfit looked okay on the runway, but the pin wheels did not spin.

Emily: Stuck to her punk roots and made a structured thing. I personally did not care for it at first glance as it just looked a bit like warrior woman from the future. This outfit just looked like a fish out of the sea. I really do not think that it was original enough for this loin in the competition.

Korina: This girl had immunity this week unfortunately. I just think that Korina is claws out to get everyone and really, that is not how you win a competition, and more importantly, the respect of the industry.  Her look was inspired by the thunder bird. It was a plain black dress with streamers all over the place. This look still appeared costume on the runway. It has these silver cages on the arms and the shoulders and it honestly just looked like a craft project. Coming off a win, this is not something to be proud of.

Kini: Kini began with a full stand out black skirt made out of an umbrella. This idea was just absolutely brilliant.  This outfit was complete with a leather top that covered the hands and a tilted hat. This look was most certainly one of the best ones on the runway. It was just so sleek and perfectly made and honestly stunning. I agree with the judges that it was fabulous to use the most common associated item with rain (an umbrella) and make it not look like one yet it is the whole outfit. Kini is one of the best designers this season and I really think that he is going to be in the final, if not win.

Alright, that is about it for this week's recap review! Check back next week for more Project Runway!
xoxo

Project Runway 10-15-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers gave members of the Project Runway crew a makeover. Hey guys! Welcome to this week's Project Runway Recap Review! We are getting closer and closer to fashion week each episode and the competition is getting tight. At this point, any of the designers could go home. Last week was packed with drama...but...its a new week, and a fresh slate, so lets get started. Challenge: The five remaining designers will make an outfit inspired by the New York City bridges (Queensborough, Brooklyn, Manhattan). The designers were assigned a bridge from the black bag of doom. Each designer created a textile with a 3-D printer that they had to incorporate into their garment. This is an Avant Garde challenge. Thoughts In The Workroom:  I'm not so sure what I think about 3-D printers...comment down below and let me know what you think about them (in general, not just in fashion). Candice made a good choice not using black again this week. Designers wh...

The Prom Problem: Underwear (Clean)

Previously on the Prom Problem:  I talked about Bra's for Prom. All the special types that may be the best option for your dress. This Week: I thought that it would only be natural to talk about Underwear next. Underwear lines plague everyone at some point but prom is the last place that you want them to show up.Today we will be solving those nasty underwear lines.  I know that everyone has different opinions about sharing underwear secrets online because it is private I guess for some people, but honestly, I think that it is okay as long as your not doing anything inappropriate. I am just saying this to let you guys know that this post is totally clean so if your thinking "oh my gosh what is she going to show us?" Don't worry about it...you can keep reading. On that note, lets take a look at a few solutions to The Underwear Problem. Solution 1: Thongs I am going to talk about thongs first because I think that they are the most common solution for panty lines. ...

Special Post- Inner Beauty- The NJ Sharing Network

Hey guys! I have always intended for this blog to be totally dedicated to beauty and fashion, however, this post is going to be a bit different. Well, I mean, it does kind of fit because all the beauty on the outside does not matter if you are not a beautiful person on the inside (which I am sure that all of you are). Recently, my little sister (Linda) had a kidney transplant. She received her new kidney from an organization called the NJ Sharing Network. The NJ Sharing Network is an organization which connects donor families with recipients. I wanted to help give back to the organization that gave my little sister so much...so I created a team for their annual 5K run. My team is called Linda's Home Team. Last year, my team raised around $3000 dollars for the NJ Sharing Network. This year, we are hoping to surpass that. It would mean the world to me if you guys would follow the link below to my page and give a donation to my team. Every penny counts. I love all of my re...
