Hey guys! Today, I am going to talk about 5 different costume ideas that will most certainly be a hit this trick or treat season.
1. Elsa
I really do not need to explain much here. This costume can be perfect for all ages. Since the movie has come out, everything has been Frozen Frozen Frozen. So why not be Frozen for Halloween. This costume is most certainly purchasable in any Halloween shop or local store with a Halloween section. If you do not want to spend any money on it, you could also just wear a blue skirt/top or dress and pair it with a side braid and everyone will still know who you are.
2. Mean Girls
Here is a classic. Here is also a more adult costume and I would not recommend going with this one if you are not at least in Middle School yet. If you are looking for inspiration for this look, take a watch at my video with a few different Halloween costume ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVceUNMGPsg&list=UU6xDZQKKKcwU8avgdNid0dg
3. Little Red
Speaking of classics, you can not go wrong with little red riding hood. This costume is, again perfect for all ages, and a great one for DIY. The first thing you are going to need is a checkered dress. If you can not find one, I would recommend going with blue or black. Next, take a trip to the fabric store and pick up any red fabric. I would recommend purchasing three years so that you can measure out how much you need for the train and how much you need for the hood. Once you have determined how much you need for the train, take the remaining fabric and cut a semi circle out and sew it to the back for the hood. Then just grab a basket which is perfect for trick or treat candy!
4. Pretty Little Liars
Honestly, if you watch PLL, you are prob old enough do dress like a PLL character. PLL dresses its actors pretty appropriately (unless its a love scene) so if your a bit younger, I would just advise not taking inspiration from the love scenes but you can totally still dress as someone from PLL. This costume idea is really like multiple costume ideas in one. I actually did this one last year paring black leggings and black gloves with a red rain jacket and creating "Red Coat". Obviously, you could be any of the five PLL girls this Halloween season. Each of them has their own distinct style, so you can basically just choose the girl/style that you like best and create the costume right out of your closet. You could also decide to do "Red Coat" like I did, or more relevant, you could be RIP Mona by messing up your hair, adding a touch of red stage makeup for blood on your face, and putting on a dark green shall over a cute pastel outfit (blood stained of course).
5. Katniss Everdine
This look is a bit well done, however, it is still one of my favorites and is pretty relevant this Halloween season as Mockingjay part 1 comes out a little under a month after Halloween. Katniss can be well portrayed by wearing dark cargo pants, a black top, an army style jacket, combat boots and a side braid. Simple and easy, supper cute, and everyone will know who you are.
Okay, that is it for my 5 Halloween Costume ideas.
