The Prom Problem: What Do I Take With Me To Prom?

Previously on The Prom Problem: Prom Diets

Hey guys!! Today I am going to go through all of the things that I like to take with me to prom, so basically this is like a little whats in my purse. Of course, you do not have to take these exact things, but they are just things I liked to bring along to events or that I would suggest carrying with you.

1. Lip Color
Of course, lipstick wears off during long night, especially after dinner. If you want to keep that lip game strong all night, bringing along your lip color to reapply is essential. I also brought a chap stick just because sometimes lipstick can be a bit drying, so I wanted to have a lip moisturizer just in case.

2. Safety Pins
Hopefully, you will not need these. But, every one in a while, you are out at a fancy event and have a wardrobe malfunction. Having some safety pins on you will prevent any wardrobe malfunction from turning into a night ruining disaster.

3. Blotting Sheets/Translucent Powder
For all you girls out there with oily skin, either of these items are essentials to take along to Prom. You do not want your face getting greasy during the event. Not only will you look oily in pictures, but your face will feel gross all night. No need for any of that! Just take along some blotting sheets or a translucent powder.

4. Eyelash Glue
If you are going to wear falsies, having a small tube of lash glue never hurts. Fake lashes are great, but every once in a while, they start to fall off. The best way for falsies to look fake is if they are half-on. You do not need a full-sized lash glue taking up space in your purse. However, keeping a little tube of glue with you will make sure that if one of your lashes decides to join the party, you can put it back in its place.

5. Band Aids
I am not telling you to bring a full on first-aid kit, but you never know when you are going to get a paper cut or something and need a band aid. Blood does not got well with a fancy dress. Band aids are also helpful to have if your shoes are rubbing uncomfortably or if they have already given you a blister. I know I was thankful to have these Prom night!

6. ID
Obviously, make sure you have you school ID and drivers license, if you have one, on you. Im gonna throw keys into this category too. You do not need to bring the whole set of keys, but if your driving, make sure you obviously have your car key. Either way, also make sure that you bring along you house key so that you can get back into you house when you get home.

7. Cash
You most likely will not have to pay for anything at Prom. However, in the event of an emergency, it is always good to have a little bit of cash on you. I would not recommend bringing a credit card because your going to be leaving your purse on the table unattended to for most of the night. Just put in a 20 or so for emergencies, but try to avoid bringing your credit card for someone to steal.

8. Gum
If you think your going to be kissing a special someone, you do not want to have bad breath! Throw in a few sticks of gum or mints into your purse so you can be prepared for all situations.

9. Bra Tape
I may not be calling this by the right name, but basically what I am talking about is the double sided strips made for your bras. I like to take these with me, especially if I am wearing a strapless dress, in case the dress is falling down all night. If you place one on you skin and press the dress into it, it will help it stay up a bit. They can also be used to hide bra straps that you may notice becoming visible as you wear your dress that you may not have noticed when you left the house. I personally never had to use it at Prom, but I did lend it out to a few friends. So, I would totally recommend carrying some.

10. YOUR TICKETS
This is the most important thing, so I saved it for last. Make sure you have your tickets so that you can get in. If your purse zips, it might be a safer place to keep them than your dates open pockets, especially if you are going to an outdoor pre-party where it might be windy.

Okay, those are all my suggestions of things to take with you in your Prom purse! Again, this might not be everything, and essentials are different for different people. These are just my essentials and my suggestions. Stay tuned for more of The Prom Problem very soon! A special post about dresses is on its way!

Best Fit: How to Start Your Fitness Journey

"Best Fit" Let's start our fitness journey! Incorporating fitness into your daily life is difficult. Life is full of wonderful things to do and it can be hard to prioritize being healthy. Today we are going to jump right in and start incorporating fitness into our daily lives.  *Disclaimer: I am neither a fitness expert nor a doctor. I am here to build a community, not give professional advise. Before beginning your fitness journey, check with your medical professionals to make sure you are physically healthy enough to complete any activities suggested. 1. Pick a time of day for your workout: Picking a time of day is a great first step in starting a healthier lifestyle. Putting it on your calendar (maybe even setting up a reminder notice) will help you hold yourself accountable. It will also remind you that you have set aside time that day to go to the gym so you do not double book yourself.  Personally, I prefer to work out in the late afternoon/ea

Project Runway 10-15-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers gave members of the Project Runway crew a makeover. Hey guys! Welcome to this week's Project Runway Recap Review! We are getting closer and closer to fashion week each episode and the competition is getting tight. At this point, any of the designers could go home. Last week was packed with drama...but...its a new week, and a fresh slate, so lets get started. Challenge: The five remaining designers will make an outfit inspired by the New York City bridges (Queensborough, Brooklyn, Manhattan). The designers were assigned a bridge from the black bag of doom. Each designer created a textile with a 3-D printer that they had to incorporate into their garment. This is an Avant Garde challenge. Thoughts In The Workroom:  I'm not so sure what I think about 3-D printers...comment down below and let me know what you think about them (in general, not just in fashion). Candice made a good choice not using black again this week. Designers who
