Trends To TRY: Winter Fashion Trends 2015

Hey guys! Where I live, winter is just about here. This post is going to feature five of my favorite fashion trends for this season. Comment down below and let me know what your favorite trends are this winter!

1. Vests
I have been seeing a lot of vests in the stores lately. "Fur", Down, Knitted, all different kinds. A vest is a great way to spice up an outfit while staying warm.

(Vest, White Shirt and Scarf from Nordstrom. Jeans from TJ Maxx. Combat Boots from DSW.)

2. Open Sweaters
This trend features an open sweater with any shirt of your choice underneath. These sweaters I think are hard to shop for. They are all so cute, but they are often not on the rack with a matching undershirt. With that said, this trend will keep you warm and in style on any winter day.

(White Shirt from Nordstrom. Don't Remember where the Yellow Sweater is from :( Jeans from TJ Maxx and Combat Boots from DSW.)

3. Dainty Jewelry
Statement jewelry has been a huge trend over the past few years. This winter the dainty jewelry is making a comeback. It is not out of style to wear a statement piece, however, it is very much in style to reach for a gold or sliver necklace next time you are planning an outfit.

(These were gifts, so I do not know where they are from. But any dainty necklace of your choice will look beautiful.)

4. Jeans and Heals
Obviously this trend is not meant to be tried out everywhere. If you are doing a lot of walking, stick to flats. However, for a date night or a night out with friends, Jeans and heals are the perfect combination.

(Not 100% sure where I got these, but it was either DSW or TJ Maxx. You could also try out a pump with jeans for a different, yet similar look.)
5. Turtle Necks
Turtle necks are everywhere this winter! This is another fun trend to experiment with as it has not been around for a while. Turtle necks are being shown in all different sizes on a variety of tops; if you are looking to try this trend, I am sure you will find one you like.

(My shirt is by Free People and my Shabby Chic Earrings are a DIY)

XOXO

Project Runway 10-15-15 Recap Review

Previously on Project Runway: The designers gave members of the Project Runway crew a makeover. Hey guys! Welcome to this week's Project Runway Recap Review! We are getting closer and closer to fashion week each episode and the competition is getting tight. At this point, any of the designers could go home. Last week was packed with drama...but...its a new week, and a fresh slate, so lets get started. Challenge: The five remaining designers will make an outfit inspired by the New York City bridges (Queensborough, Brooklyn, Manhattan). The designers were assigned a bridge from the black bag of doom. Each designer created a textile with a 3-D printer that they had to incorporate into their garment. This is an Avant Garde challenge. Thoughts In The Workroom:  I'm not so sure what I think about 3-D printers...comment down below and let me know what you think about them (in general, not just in fashion). Candice made a good choice not using black again this week. Designers wh...

The Prom Problem: Underwear (Clean)

Previously on the Prom Problem:  I talked about Bra's for Prom. All the special types that may be the best option for your dress. This Week: I thought that it would only be natural to talk about Underwear next. Underwear lines plague everyone at some point but prom is the last place that you want them to show up.Today we will be solving those nasty underwear lines.  I know that everyone has different opinions about sharing underwear secrets online because it is private I guess for some people, but honestly, I think that it is okay as long as your not doing anything inappropriate. I am just saying this to let you guys know that this post is totally clean so if your thinking "oh my gosh what is she going to show us?" Don't worry about it...you can keep reading. On that note, lets take a look at a few solutions to The Underwear Problem. Solution 1: Thongs I am going to talk about thongs first because I think that they are the most common solution for panty lines. ...

Special Post- Inner Beauty- The NJ Sharing Network

Hey guys! I have always intended for this blog to be totally dedicated to beauty and fashion, however, this post is going to be a bit different. Well, I mean, it does kind of fit because all the beauty on the outside does not matter if you are not a beautiful person on the inside (which I am sure that all of you are). Recently, my little sister (Linda) had a kidney transplant. She received her new kidney from an organization called the NJ Sharing Network. The NJ Sharing Network is an organization which connects donor families with recipients. I wanted to help give back to the organization that gave my little sister so much...so I created a team for their annual 5K run. My team is called Linda's Home Team. Last year, my team raised around $3000 dollars for the NJ Sharing Network. This year, we are hoping to surpass that. It would mean the world to me if you guys would follow the link below to my page and give a donation to my team. Every penny counts. I love all of my re...
