How To Sew: What Machine Should I Get??

Hey Guys!! So I could not come up with a good title for this series but I am working on it and for now I am just calling it How To Sew. Boring I know, I will fix that. I have had the idea for this series in my head for a while now but did not think that I was ready but I finally have a game plan and a bit more experience under my belt. SO, I am really really excited to announce this series which will be tips on how to start sewing, designing and making your own clothing! I am by no means a professional yet but I think that it would be a great experience for me to be able to share my tips and experiences with you guys and you can share yours with me! I am very excited about this series and I am just going to jump right in because I am just that excited!! Deciding to Buy a Machine: If you want to start creating your own clothing, hand sewing is an option, however, it would take you much longer to make a garment and it may or may not come out durable. Therefore, it is important to inve...

Project Runway All Stars Season 3 Review (Marge Simpson Episode)

Hey Guys! I know that I have yet to review any of this season so I am just going to start out with a bit on the past challenges. I am SO happy with the cast of this season. I think that they have done a very good job so far and I am pretty happy with who has gone out and who has stayed in. Today I am going to be doing a little re-cap review for this past episode and I promise that there will be no spoilers! Before I get into it there are just two more things I really want to go over. 1 The dress that won looked amazing in the animation and I was totally not expecting it to look that good so bravo to the animators!! 2 Project Runway All Star Season 2 winner Anthony Ryan Auld gust judged this week's episode. I have read so many reviews saying mean things about his physical appearance and I literally could not believe that those reviewers were saying that. I am very proud of him for rocking the baldness and coming on the show despite his cancer. I thought that he did a great job criti...

Revlon Photo Ready Eye Shadow Review!!

Hey Guys!! I have not done a review for a while so I decided to go ahead an review a product that I have been loving for quite some time now. Revlon has a whole line of photo ready products which are perfect because you never know when someone is going to snap the camera! The line includes a foundation, several eye shadow pallets and  a few other items. Today, I am going to be reviewing the eye shadow pallets since I have been trying them out for a while and I really think they are worth investing in. First of all, I love the packaging and the name of the product. In today's world, pictures are taken all the time and no one wants a gross picture of themselves posted all over the Internet. Therefore, I think that the name "photo ready" is perfect because it will suck just about anyone in.  During the spring time, I tried out the Bohemian 530 eye shadow pallet and I liked most of the colors in it individually but I thought that they blue did not really look good with the...

Where Have I Been and Plans For The Future!

Hey Guys!! I know that I took an unexpected break from blogging but I am totally back now and I am going to explain everything right here and let you know what I am planning for the foreseeable future. So these past few months have been filled with college apps for me which have been so time consuming and I still have to go to school so I just have not had any more writing time in my schedule. However, I am all done with them now and I am ready to return with some great material. I know that I have not done any Project Runway reviews for this season of All Stars so I am planning on starting up on that with the Marge Simpson episode which will be up in  a little bit. Runway reviews are one of my main series so I really want to get back on the bandwagon with that one. I will also be doing a November favorites pretty soon (even though it is a bit late) and I am going to start a brand new series following me through my own fashion design process. The idea behind that is for anyone who ...

Inside Athleta's Exclusive Open House!!

Hey guys!! As many of you may know, Athleta is opening several new stores throughout the US.  If you do not know, Athleta is an athletic wear based store. However, they do make some regular clothing as well and all of their athletic wear is cute and does not have the typical "work out" look to it. This past week, the local branch around me had its grand opening and I was one of the lucky customers who was invited to take a first look!! I have never been invited to any of these type of events before, but it was very exciting and SO much fun!! Although the event was invite only, there was a pretty large crowed at my store (mainly mother's and daughters). My mom, sister and I shop at Athleta all the time and we love their cloths so we deff made it a point to head on out to the grand opening when we received out invitation. I decided to take a few pictures while I was inside of the store so I could give you guys a bit of a look into the event! I also have a picture of the shi...

Undercover Boss: Lohmans

There is no better way for a boss to get a look at how the different branches of his franchise are operating,  then by  going in undercover. This week, Steve, the boss of Lohmans headed into his stores to get the inside scoop. The cameras followed him as he went under the guise of Henry and talked to his employees as a prospective employee. This allowed him to see his employees in action, teaching a new worker as they would to any regular person. He also got to see them interact with the clients. While in some of the stores, he found many employees who were outstanding, and a few who were struggling yet possessed good qualities. Steve was able to find out about the hardships each employee and give then monetary assistance to help them over their rough periods. In addition, he was able to implement new aspects to improve the stores based off of the  employees ideas and complaints. What Steve was able to accomplish for his business and for the lives was absolutely incredib...

Homecoming Horribles: Makeup

Previously on Homecoming Horribles: I talked about dresses to wear, and not to wear. Hey guys!! Today I am going to talk about a few makeup options for homecoming as well as some products that I am loving! I also just want to start off by saying that Homecoming does not mean break out the Halloween makeup. You can wear a lot of makeup or do a smokey eye without wearing bright, overdone colors. With that said, let's get into the option and products!! Standard Smokey Eye: This is always my go-to option for Homecoming. Because you are using blacks and whites, it should match just about any dress. The trick to this look, is to put white on the lid with black on the outer corner and work it into the crease. This looks very easy to over due. Therefore, I think that it is very important to invest in a good blending brush! The one I use is by Sonia Kashuk. Personally, I think that this brand is just as good as the high end brands for brushes. I buy all of my brushes from that brand be...
